Introduction
Department of Arts and Creative Industries is a leading program in the nation. This bachelor program provides students with the essential knowledge and critical skills to become a successful art entrepreneur/ entrepreneurial artists in the arts and creative sectors. It draws on the knowledge and workplace experience of a talented group of academics and combines the latest thinking in arts and creative industries with the practical and specialist skills in the field. Students will gain a good under-standing of the business demands of managing creative enter-prises and cultural organizations within the modern globalized world.
With notion of art creativity, the undergraduate program covers two field majors of “Art and Creativity” and “Management of Art” , to foster approach on tradition and innovation, as well as creativity and industry. Exclusive studios for art practices such as silver jewelry design, weaving, dyeing, ceramics and painting, are well equipped as bases of art professional learning and training.
The program has been working closely with arts and creative industries and also hosts different incubation programs in the nation. Students are able to navigate internship and employ-ment opportunities during and after complete the program. For those wish to advance a research career, the Department is also the headquarter to two graduate programs in indigenous arts and visual art education, and a continuing education pro-gram in arts and creative industries.
